Getting started on your own family stories project can seem overwhelming...where to start? What medium? How to bring in old photos? How to leverage the internet to reach far-flung family members who want--no, NEED -- to know about their deep family history? It takes more than @Twitter or @Facebook to tell a good story. But, it may be hard to decide where to start and how to proceed.

The joy of blogging is that you can imagine yourself writing a note (or telling a story) to a loved one. I usually imagine that I'm telling a bedtime story to one of my grandchildren.
Perfect grammar is NOT my goal. I'm not worried about murdering the English language. That's part of who I am, and I'm happy to have my descendents get a whiff of the real me through my blog posts.
My blog is available to the public, but you can restrict access to just those family members you trust. And you can do it on a post-by-post basis.
